It was in February 6264 Kemetic Spiritual Time (2024 Western Time) when I took my first Afrakan ourstory course from the African History Network, "Ancient Kemet, The Moors & The Maafa". This was the catalyst for starting me on the journey that I'm currently on, and the course introduced me to Afrakan ourstory that I never knew existed. Two major ourstoric times in ourstory that I learned about was Ancient Kemet and The Moors.
From this course I learned about how The Moors were Islamized Afrakans from North Afraka that invaded the Iberian Peninsula in 711 C.E.. But they didn't invade to conquer and subjugate. They invaded to help the people there. As a result, these Afrakans brought the "light" back into Europe, and ended Europe's dark age. Europe was in a dark age after the Western portion of the Roman Empire fell around 476 C.E..
After learning about The Moors from the course, I became really excited and wanted to learn more about the ourstory of The Moors. I started watching YouTube lectures on The Moors. A couple of my favorite scholars to listen to on the subject of The Moors are Runoko Rashidi and Dr. Jose Pimienta-Bey - Playlist 1, Playlist 2. Next I started buying books about The Moors, such as "Othello's Children in the New World" by Dr. Bey, and the fantastic "The Golden Age of the Moor" edited by Ivan Van Sertima.

I learned that The Moors and all the knowledge and wisdom they possessed originated from Ancient Kemet. So I figured I needed to go to the source, so after spending a few months learning about The Moors, I turned my attention to Ancient Kemet, and I've been here ever since. My interest in Ancient Kemet is why I created this website. "Ancient Kemet, The Moors & The Maafa" is a great Afrakan ourstory course that I recommend for anyone to take.
Excellent book. I have a copy that I bought in the 1990s (Western calendar). Keep up the great reading and writing!
